Matsusaka |

Matsusaka is the district where the world-famous Matsusaka beef cattle are raised. The area near the site of the old Matsusaka Castle was a samurai community at the end of the Edo period, and it is a thriving residential area today. Such facilities as the unusual Gojoban Yashiki and the Memorial Museum of Matsusaka Merchants retain their period charm and are open to visitors.
The area is also located in a beautiful natural environment with mountains, rivers, and the sea.
