Saiku is the former location of the palace of the unmarried Imperial Princess Saiku, who served Ise-Jingu Shrine in place of the Emperor. The same Saioh (palace) and Saiku (princess) in The Tale of Genji or The Tale of Ise are introduced in easy-to-understand form using models and computer graphics based on the results of excavations and literary research. |
