Kitabatake Municipal Hall Ruins Garden |
![]() |
|
A typical garden of the Northern and Southern Dynasties Period (1336-1392), it is a national scenic spot and is designated as an historical landmark. A wild-style garden, it expresses the perceptions of beauty of powerful local clans at that time, and evokes the scenery of ancient times. There is superb harmony between the garden and the autumn leaves. It is one of Japan's 3 major old samurai gardens. |
