Kuwana

Kuwana prospered from the Edo period as one of the 53 post stations of the Tokaido road. It is famous for Rokka-en, an important cultural treasure. Also located here is the Nagashima Resort that combines a hot spring and an amusement park (Nagashima Spaland and Nabana-no-Sato). Next to the Nagashima Resort is Jazz Dream Nagashima, one of Japan’s largest maker-direct factory outlet malls. Kuwana has also been known since the Edo period for its famous grilled clams.
